Specifically, I'm looking at clarity, rhythm, readability, emotional impact, and character voice consistency. Are there awkward phrases? Are your dialogue tags adding or subtracting from the reader's experience? Are your word choices supporting your narrative goals?
Personally, my goal here is to cut redundancy, add specificity and strengthen your sense of setting/character via the actual writing, as well as flag details that need to be shown, not told. Your plot, characters, and meaning all stay the same; the delivery is what we're aiming to improve.
I will read your story multiple times as I take notes, and delivery will include the file with line notations and comments throughout. I can accept files via either Microsoft Word (.docx format) or Google Docs.
